Dubbed by The Village Voice as “The Gentleman Boxer” in an impressive four page spread, Hamer graced the cover in a tuxedo to introduce himself formally to the inhabitants of New York City on newsstands everywhere. And if any one boxer has he potential to become a household name, it’s Hamer. The charismatic and talkative 25 year old boasts a Penn-State degree, Ivy League educated parents, an extremely intelligent and charming disposition, and a marketable face.
